Tap & Barrel approached Prodigy, with a Construction Management opportunity in the lower mainland. Prodigy was the successful proponent and was awarded the construction of Tap & Barrel’s first three level restaurant in Vancouver and their most anticipated project at The Amazing Brentwood complex in Burnaby, BC.

The scope of work involved the new interior and exterior construction of approximately 17,000 sq.ft., over three floors at one of the best locations within this sites retail/restaurant intersection. The new location offers an extensive 7,000 sq.ft. roof top terrace, where customers will enjoy a new hospitality bar with full dining privileges whilst taking in views of Brentwood Plaza and the Burnaby skyline beyond. The roof terrace will have a custom Corradi patio system, that our firm has sourced and provided logistic support from Germany, which allows the patio space to be used all year round.

The restaurant will also have a 3,500 sq.ft. foot kitchen and three fully serviced bars with our project team handling the coordination, installation and commissioning of all equipment and fire suppression systems at this location. A new large mezzanine floor placed over the kitchen will house an array of complex mechanical and electric equipment, along with critical fire suppression systems.

The exterior will be receiving new façade finishes with a Stella glass sliding door system which will create an indoor-outdoor dining concept on the bustling plaza level. We are proud to have been a part of this project and wish our client the best in their new location!
