Starbucks Canada approached Prodigy to complete the high – end construction of their Thomson Hotel location here in Toronto, ON. The finishes required for this project, based on the property being a FREED Development were of the highest caliber.

For this project, the list of long – lead items was extensive. The storefront glazing system was a long lead item that we were required to order immediately given the twelve to fourteen week delivery period. Our project manager was proactive in identifying and ordering these items in order to add further control over the construction schedule.

The high –end finishes were also a challenge; high end tiles from Italy, custom millwork from California, glazing systems from Germany and specialty faux concrete paneling from Florida. Shop drawings were prioritized and details carefully reviewed prior to orders being placed by our project management team. Prodigy subtrades were also pre-qualified for certain scopes where quality installation was crucial.

Over the sixteen week construction period, Prodigy was able to deliver this Starbucks site to our client within budget and within original projected timelines. We look forward to working on another one soon!
