Prodigy was awarded the construction of the Maison Birks Flagship location at Yorkdale Shopping Centre in Toronto, ON. Our biggest challenge was the structural steel and glazing scopes at the 45’ high corner store-front, which was comprised of +35qty custom glazing panels. Prodigy has great relationships with many of our subcontractors and national suppliers, which is why we immediately began planning the design, fabrication, delivery and installation of the storefront with one of two glass suppliers capable of delivering a project of this magnitude in Canada. We were also charged with engineering the storefront structure so that we could obtain clearance from structural engineers in Ontario.

The interior of the store was a high-end extravaganza, with vendor shops from Brietling, Tag Heuer, Rolex, and Chaumet. The finishes were truly world class and reaffirmed Maison Birks as a leading luxury brand here in North America.

The Maison Birks at Yorkdale Shopping Centre was nominated for various retail awards and was successful in winning a store of the year award from the prestigious, SHOP! Organization! Our firm is proud of our involvement with one of our most loyal clients, Maison Birks.
