Prodigy was awarded the Bayview Glen School Athletics Centre project in December 2022. The scope of work includes the construction of a new two-storey addition with a basement level, as well as extensive renovations to portions of the existing ground, second, and third floors. The addition encompasses approximately 24,000 sq.ft. and features a new swimming pool and a second-floor gymnasium designed to enhance the school’s athletic and wellness programming.

Given the challenging soil conditions on site, the project required significant structural and foundation engineering to mitigate settlement risks and ensure the long-term stability of the facility. The foundation system consists of a reinforced raft slab, incorporating a robust base slab with integrated stiffening and perimeter concrete beams founded within excavated trenches for additional support. The entire assembly is heavily reinforced with rebar and steel mesh, providing exceptional structural integrity and resistance to cracking over time.
